Top 10 Final Fantasy Song of ALL Time (5-1)

And now we continue our list...no scratch that: MY list. This also contains honorable mentions at the end to. Enjoy!

5) The Prelude (from The Final Fantasy Saga)
The prelude is one of the most iconic pieces of music from the saga. Any one who as played a Final Fantasy Game or has watched anyone play a Final Fantasy Game has heard this song. The Prelude may be the heart and soul of the saga (which is the soul reason that it's on here) but it isn't good enough to make it farther up on our list...oh and sense I gave you samples for all the game versions to date so there will be no remixes for this song, sorry.

4) Liberi Fatali (from Final Fantasy VIII)
The fourth opening theme to make our list, Liberi Fatali is an iconic theme whose chours (Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec) echos throughout the game in many ways. This song's chours section is not of Latin but in truth an anagram for Succession of Witches but with four letters left ever which spell Love, these are the key elements to the game's plot. Here is the opening cutsceen which has the song in it's background. There are no known remixes of this song with noticeable changes that I could find though...but I have made a parody of the chours (Fetus Look-hed, Weenus Eat-your-Head). This was also the first song to be in a video game that was not played with a synthetic orchestral in the game!

3) Battle with the Four Fiends (from Final Fantasy IV)
One of my favorite battle themes, this epic theme plays as you make your way through each of the four fiends in the final region of the game. This song is beautifully executed and is just epic to listen to. Here is the a video with one of the fiends. (skip to 0:59 to view the part with the song quicker) And here's the metal remix of it, WOOT!

2) Choas Shrine (from Final Fantasy I)
For Second Genoration Video Games, (The Late 1980's) this song is REALLY good! I could only find the remix of it featured in remakes of the game, but this is so simple but so well excuted it is brillaint in every since of the word. There's the footage of the Chaos Shirne!

1) Dancing Mad (from Final Fantasy VI)
TA-DA, here is the winner! Danicng Mad from Final Fantasy VI! This song is so long that I could only find the 1st half of it! How long is it? We're talking about 18:00 of boss music here! This song so epic it brings a new definition to the word bad-ass. The song plays during the final battle when the protagonists climb up Kefka's Tower and fight the massive and horrific guardians obstructing their path, finally after they reach the heavens: the only thing not corrupted by the vile touch of Kefka...he appears and the true battle begins. Each section of the song represents an ascept of Kefka, the first one represents the hopelessness that he inflicts on his victims (aka humanity as we know it) the second is more on his clownish attitude for it has a more perky beat, the third tier is a reflection on his madness and the final is his infernal violence and blood lust. Here is the second half and the footage of the final battle. For more info of the bad-ass Kefka scroll down to some of my earlier blogs. Oh, and please note that this is the longest boss theme to date!

Honorable Mentions: One-Winged Angel (from Final Fantasy VII), Opera: Maria and Draco (from Final Fantasy VI), Kefka's Theme (from Final Fantasy VI), You Can Hear the Cries of the Planet (from Final Fantasy VII), Aerith's Theme (from Final Fantasy VII), Chocobo Theme (from the Final Fantasy Saga), Battle Theme (from Final Fantasy I)
